Timothy Burgess met Jimeyer while he was being treated for osteo sarcoma (bone cancer) at Hutzel Hospital at the age of 12. He made his first journey to Chalfonte House a year later. For the next nine years, Chalfonte served as a place of support and friendship. Tim’s formative years were sculpted by the many influential hands at Chalfonte House. Thus, it only seemed natural that in 2002 when Jimeyer asked Tim to serve as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, Tim accepted the honor with gratitude.
Tim currently lives and works in Philadelphia, PA where he plans to attend Temple University to study social work. His compassion for people and their wellbeing undoubtedly springs from his experience at Chalfonte House.
